Something to say!

I have started many blogs in the past but never really felt like I had anything worth saying! Now, being pregnant, I feel like I have loads and loads to say. The idea of being a mom scares me to pieces! I've always been a curious person and now I feel like I have 5,000,000 questions more than normal! Unfortunately, I never remember them when I'm in my midwife's office, so Google has to answer most of them for me. I don't know how my parents survived without Google to answer their questions!

To give a brief summary of what my life looks like right now, I'm 24 years old and a senior in college, Piedmont International University. I'm working as-close-to-full-time-as-I-can-get at a local Chick-fil-A. I've been married to my husband, Gary, for 2 years and 3 months and have yet to come down off the newlywed high (I don't believe it exists!). I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant (according to my midwife, I actually count it at 23 weeks) which means I'll be delivering my baby in late January or early February of 2013! Being a senior means that I will continue to take classes in the spring semester because I am a mere 13 hours away from graduation and no baby is going to get in my way! Plus, as the school's provost pointed out, our daughter will never be less in the way than as a newborn. By the time I finish school, she won't even have begun crawling which means when I lay her down so I can write a paper, she'll stay there!

The plan that Gary and I have is that I will quit work in December and become a full-time stay-at-home mom. Let me tell you, I have never been so anxious for something to happen in my life! This semester, my normal schedule is

9:20-10:35 am - Class
11ish-5 pm - work
6 or 7 - 9pm - Class, church, or something

Unfortunately, very few of those "or something" evenings give me the opportunity to be home and cook or clean so I am eagerly awaiting the days when I can stay home and have dinner on the table when Gary gets home and make sure the house is clean for him and that all his laundry is clean and put away and so on!

In the mean time, here is a picture of Gary and me! I'll be back with a more substantial and meaningful post in which I plan to talk about my midwife.
